When my shoulder pain reached a point that it interferred with my daily living and workouts, I consulted with an orthopeadic doctor who diagnosed a torn rotator based on my symptoms and an X-ray. He recommended surgery, but I was reluctant so he referred me to physical therapy. I had PT 3x/week for 2-3 month sessions. My shoulder got worse. After working with Saburi for just 2-1/2 months, I was pain free and had recovered enough strength that I was able to do side planks, push ups and other exercises using my shoulder.
